Azhar

My name is Waqas Ali Azhar and I am currently a PhD student at Abdus Salam School of Mathematical Sciences, Government College University, Lahore, Pakistan. I still remember when I was in college, one of my Professors told me that "You can never do good in Mathematics", Well , I must thank him for such a motivation since I am doing PhD in Mathematics now and Alhmadullilah things are fine. I took those words as a challenge and started my career in Mathematics. I graduated (2 years BSc.) from Government College, Township, Lahore in 2007 with Double Mathsere and Physics as majors. I also got first position in the college. Then I started my MSc. from University of the Punjab, Lahore where the major was Mathematics and I got 4th position in the province Punjab.

              I am currently enrolled in MPhil. leading to PhD. program at ASSMS, GCU, Lahore. My research interests include Analysis, though I am not bad in Algebra, I am just scared of it. 

              After my BSc. I started teaching Mathematics for my own good at a junior level, and after my MSc. I started teaching BSc. and MSc. Mathematics, which was a very good experience. I also taught college level Mathematics during that time in a private academy. Pretty soon, I got a chance to teach at my own university (University of the Punjab), where I taught "Discrete Mathematics" to undergraduate students.
